Hide A Way Lake Community contains a total of about 1600 acres with 1558 lots averaging approximately 1/3 acre each. Terrain is piney woods and hilly and ranges from 70 to 130 feet above mean sea level. The length of the dam on a 200 approx. acre fresh water lake is 1170 feet with a crown width of 10 feet and the maximum height is 38 feet. The concrete spillway is 232 feet wide, located at the North East abutment of the dam. The lake level is controlled by valves located in a junction box aat the base of the dam for draw down purposes.

Located in the North East corner of Hide Away there is a barn with 10 stalls. Homeowners may rent these stalls for a monthly fee. The club house office must be contacted for further information on availability and fees.

There are 22 miles of roads within HAWL(as it is referred to by local residents of county), and all roads are private and not open to the public. Admittance to the subdivision is through a guard gate, manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Admittance is only by membership car, or window decal which is updated yearly. To view properties you must be accompanied by a Realtor. A speed limit of 25 m.p.h. is posted. Maintenance of the roads is paid from Hide A Way Lake Club, Inc. operational fees.

The Central Water supply is obtained from three interconnected wells, which serve all of the lots. Hide A Way Lake Club, Inc. is the owner of the water system. Water is treated and analyzed in compliance with Ms. State Health Department Regulations, like any other municipal supply. Water is metered at a fee for the first 6000 gallons, and a charge per gallon for use over that amount. Every property owner is assessed the minimum monthly rate for water. Hook up charges apply for new homes being constructed on vacant lots.

Sewerage Disposal is by septic tanks, which are installed at the expense of the individual lot owner, and must be in accordance with Ms. Health Departments guidelines, and rules and regulations, with inspections by Ms. Health Dept. Some lots have alternative systems such as "mini" home treatment plants, with pumps. Septic tanks are inspected every several years by the club at a fee of $20.00 to the property owner, and pumped when deemed necessary. This is mandatory per Hide Away Lake Club, Inc. rules and regulations.

HomeOwner's fee includes dues, garbage collection and water usage. Inner community water system. Community photos, plats, aerial and topo maps below.
